The fonds consists of the book, correspondence concerning the publication of the book and the contract between Markland and the publisher, Erskine Macdonald. The correspondence consists of letters to and from Markland and several of the contributors to the anthology, letters to and from Markland to various newspapers and publishers seeking permission to reprint poems, a letter from the Oxford University Press turning down the anthology, and letters to and from the publisher of the anthology, Erksine MacDonald. There is also some correspondence between Markland and others about Erksine Macdonald after the publication of the book

There is a file for each of the following awards: Bancroft Award, Chauveau Medal, Banting Medal, Marshall Tory Medal, Eadie Medal, Hannah Medal, Flavelle Medal, Harrison Prize, Innis-Gérin Medal, Lorne Pierce Medal, Miller Medal, Sims Scholarship, NATO Fellowships, Rutherford Memorial Award and the Tyrell Medal. E. Whalley of the National Research Council chaired the Committee in 1972. He was succeeded by A. D'Irio of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ottawa.

Fonds consists of three minute books: 5 December 1923-2 December 1931 (298 pp); 6 January 1931-13 November 1944 (299 pp. plus insertions); 9 October 1963-11 December 1974 (292 pp. plus insertions). Thomson at Mount St. Eloi Cemetery; (12) black notebook of WWI news clippings and other clippings of the period; (13) ephemeral publications, including Thanksgiving Service Canadian Corps Vimy Ridge (April 9th 1917), Regimental Songs Canadian Expeditionary Force 1914-1915, The 1st Canadian Division in the Battle of 1918, The Listening Post (no. 22, 15 February 1917), The Rose of No Man’s Land (music score), Bruce Bairnsfather’s Fragments from France, part VI, and the War Pictorial (embarkation number, part four); (14) WWI medal and brass buttons from Stephenson’s coat; (15) discharge certificate, 2 June 1919; (16) information about Stephenson’s war record from Gwendoline Stephenson, his daughter, and a copy of Stephenson’s attestation papers.

The fonds consists of a scrapbook with items pasted in. There are also some loose items. There are a few items that pre-date the war such as Bessie’s Girl Guide certificate and Ronald’s choir membership card, as well as his Orderly certificate. Most of the fonds consists of sports and entertainment programmes. The theatrical programmes were mainly issued by the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA) under the director of the Navy, Army and Air Force Institute (NAAFI). There is also a service dedication and two photographs for the Church of St. Luke, 115 British General Hospital, and one group photograph including Bessie.

The McGill University Press material includes the initial proposal document, newspaper clippings, early design prototypes, and graphic materials produced by the press (page proofs, invitations, greeting cards, prints of R.D. The fonds consists of three bound journals. Each journal is brown, stamped "Army Book 152. Correspondence Book. (Field Service)". The first journal contains entries from 15 May 1915 to 31 October 1915, as well as a spoof on Genesis from the Bible, some camp and other maps and drawings, and a biographical sketch of Wright written by himself including a long list of his athletic achievements. The second journal contains entries from 14 November [1915] to 30 August [1916], a list of his military leaves, maps, and one loose sheet of paper dated 13 June 1916. Wright was by then a Lieut.-Colonel. The third journal contains entries from 1 September 1916 to Saturday [2 December 1916] including some maps. Wright was stationed at the Vadencourt Chateau, and the third journal includes a building plan sketch and a map of the camp. The first journal is written entirely in ink; the other two journals are in ink and pencil. The journal entries begin with a weather description as does his official war diary. The fonds also contains Wright's official War Diary as A.D.M.S, 1st Canadian Division from 1 January 1918 to 31 December 1918. The diary is black and stamped "War Diary 1918". Each typewritten entry (except for the first few) has been initialled by Wright. In addition to the typewritten entries, the diary contains mimeographed orders, typewritten and mimeographed correspondence, maps and diagrams. There are 139 typed pages, 157 folio pages, and 10 maps.

The fonds consists mostly of photographs from World War II, with subjects including Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill at the Casablanca Conference; the Allied bombing of the Benedictine monastery at Monte Cassino; troop trucks, mule trains, soldiers and civilians. There are also photographs of the U.S. capitol in 1954 and personal photographs of family and friends. The textual records include correspondence, commendations, discharge papers, and certificates relating to Longini’s military career, as well as news clippings.

The fonds consists of Parr's journal, a bound manuscript, 90 pages in length. The first entry in the first section is 2 Aug. [1914] when he leaves home. The next day he boarded HMS Canopus. The last dated entry is 8 June [1915] which notes orders to proceed to Malta. The next section, titled "Our Food Supply" covers the same time period. The third section contains some reflections on the ship's officers.

He kept a small diary which documents the four years he served. The collection also contains sixty photographs, including formal portraits, unit photographs, aerial photographs, and 38 official Government of Canada photographs with captions added, presumably by Joyce.

By and large this accrual consists of reports, briefs, news releases, press clippings, photocopies of internal memos, communiques, and printed matter. The original material consists of daily journals, correspondence to and from Allen to constituents and colleagues in the New Democratic Party, correspondence to and from federal cabinet ministers, holograph or typescript versions of speeches and notes. Frequently, incoming and outgoing correspondence is one of multiple copies. Original order has been maintained as much as possible in the arrangement of this accrual. The titles that appear on the files are the original titles. The series and subseries are organized in an attempt to reflect the career of Richard Allen: Series 1: in opposition 1982-1990; Subseries: Hamilton; education; Francophone affairs; Community and Social Services & Office of the Disabled; personal and administrative. Series 2: minister and member of government, 1990-1995. Subseries: Meech Lake and post-Meech Lake; Minister of Colleges & Universities; Minister Responsible for the Ontario Training & Adjustment Board; Minister of International Trade; Minister of Housing; Minister's administrative files. Series 3: sound recordings and videocassette, 1989-1995. It should be noted that a chronological arrangement within the sub-series has been attempted, in order to trace the prolific political endeavours of Allen. Box numbering in this accrual is sequential with the previous accrual. The third accrual (24-2000) consists of administrative files reflecting Allen's political activities sukch as council minutes, reports, election results, press releases and promotional materials. The accrual also contains files relating to GO-ALRT and the Canadian Porcelain Project.
