Leary, Timothy Francis
The collection consists of 28 letters to Major John Fairfax-Blakeborough, mainly from Sir Alfred Pease, but also from other members of the Pease family; news clippings; a typed carbon by Pease concerning family history, dedicated to his children; and a typed carbon of a memoir of Pease by Fairfax-Blakeborough, published in April 1964. Fairfax-Blakeborough was an author and journalist who sometimes wrote under the pen name Hambletonian. He was born in Guisborough, Yorks. on 16 Jan. 1883 and, like Pease, was a member of the Cleveland Bay Horse Society. His books concern racing, hunting, and country life.

Anderson affair at Sir George Williams University collection
The Anderson affair concerns charges of racism against black students by a white faculty member, Professor Anderson. The collection consists of printed materials, including statements, chronicle of events, newspaper articles, posters, and transcripts of the interviews contained on the audio cassettes.
The collection consists of a diary kept from 1 November [1835?] to 14 March [1837?] when the Elliotts were living in Quebec City, Canada. The diarist is presumed to be Jane Elliott. Also in the collection is a play, "My Niece!!--In One Act"; a diary titled "Diary or Young Night Thoughts", 2 May 1830 to 10 September 1830; an undated essay about chalk; and 2 undated letters, written in Italian, possibly from R. Ferry, with one addressed to Luigia. The pencil drawing is presumably of the St. Lawrence River.

The collection consists of four accruals. The first accrual consists of 4 letters and 1 note from James to Edmund Gosse, 1 letter to Messrs. Clay, [?] & Taylor, 1 printed letter to his friends on the occasion of his seventieth birthday, and printed materials including the order of service for his funeral. The second and third accruals consist of adaptations of two of James' novels by other authors. The fourth accrual is a copyright registration document.

The collection contains letters from Pablo Casals, Albert Einstein, Gustav Holst, William James, Clara Schuman, Peter Tchaikovsky, Cosima Wagner, and others. Smyth drew on these letters in her autobiographical writings.
There is one letter from Smyth to Kenneth Wright, 19 November 1929. For additional letters written by Smyth, researchers are directed to the Eric Walter White fonds.

Sir Terence Mervyn Rattigan - Variation on a Theme, a new play
Mimeograph, typescript, and typescript carbon of "Variation on a Theme, a new play by Terence Rattigan". Written on the title page in pencil is “corrected by the author and his secretary”. Rattigan has written in ink: “To Cuthbert with great love and appreciation of his appreciation. Terry Rattigan.” Also one programme from The Streatham Hill Theatre and a photocopy of the notes about this play prepared by Bertram Rota Ltd. in preparation for its sale.

The collection consists of 24 black and white photographs of Dr. Dafoe (1883-1941). Each is identified on the reverse side, usually with the accompanying text for a brief story. The photographs were taken for International News Photos Inc., 1934-1941.
Dafoe, Allan Roy
After gold was discovered in Bonanza City in 1896, approximately 30, 000 settlers flooded the Yukon in hopes of finding fortune. The name “Klondike” (or “Klondyke”) refers to a town as well as the area surrounding Dawson City where new residents panned for gold.
There have been three accruals. The first accrual consists of a typescript of letters as well as stereo cards, a postcard and tear-sheets. The second accrual consists of b&w photographs as well as one serviette. The third accrual consists of two photographs.
Canadian school notebooks collection
The content of these notebooks was created by George Alfred Reynolds (Rennie) Gibbons of Sturgeon River, N.W.T., Robin Gibbons, and Frank Carson.
Rennie Gibbons kept his notes in a Pioneer Exercise and Diction book with an illustrated cover in orange of soldiers on horseback dated 14 Nov. 1899. The content, in ink, is eclectic with notes on the metric system, the wheel and the axle, algebra, history, language, and partnerships. Robin Gibbons kept his (?) notes in The Great West Exercise book, with an illustrated cover in red and green of a farmer ploughing with a cowboy on the side dated 30 May 1899. The content, in ink, is eclectic with notes on board measures, arithmetic and composition (including small essays). Frank Carson kept his notes in a Bulwarks book with an illustrated cover of a navy ship deck. The notebook was purchased at Whitfields’ Drug and Stationery Store in Whitby, Ont. The content, in ink and pencil, is eclectic. It appears to contain some accounts as well as notes on Germany, science, plant roots, arithmetic, and hydrostatics.
