• Three audio discs were produced for the Canada Department of Labour by the National Film Board of Canada. Their titles are: Technical and Vocational - - -Training in Canada, Unemployment Insurance in Canada, Labour Management in a Changing World. They are for use with filmstrips which are not extant. One audio disc was issued by the Canada Department of Labour. Its title is: Better Together, Main dans La Main.

The fonds covers details of the magazines production and editing, interviews, correspondence, administrative and financial information, plus photographs, sound recording and other media.

The collection consists of two printed documents: the constitution of the organization and a memorandum addressed to the Ontario Legislature. There is also one letter from Peter Tully, the president of the Council, to Norman W. Byrne, Chromium Mining and Smelting Corp. outlining the plans for the organization’s future.

Posters and leaflets in the collection encourage people to emigrate to Canada.

This collection consists of company catalogues produced by Canadian firms. The catalogues are mainly from manufacturing companies, although there is one for cattle and there are some retailers. Products manufactured vary greatly from clothing to bicycles, doors, and steam power equipment. Retailers include Birks and Eaton's.

The fonds consists of correspondence, organizational records, clippings, published materials, and Toronto World Refugee Year Committee material.

The fonds contains minutes, correspondence, branches and affiliates, finances, activities, national petition, publications, research files, seminars, office files, publications, publications for other peace groups, clippings, small posters and other material

There have been three accruals. The first accrual consists of microfilmed scripts of dramas produced by the CBC. The original scripts were disposed of after microfilming. The majority of these scripts are of radio plays, although there are some which were produced for televison. Dramatists include Fletcher Markle, W.O. Mitchell, Lester Sinclair, Joseph Schull, Pierre Berton, Len Peterson and George Salverson, among many others. The second accrual consists of printed materials; the texts of speeches broadcast 1940-1941, and pamphlets printed by the CBC describing their programming from 1936-1943. The third accrual consists of 4 audio reels, containing a speech by the Rt. Hon. Arthur Meighen (1874-1960), Prime Minister of Canada, 1920-1921 and 1926, to the Canadian Club in 1936 with an introduction of W.A. Bishop.

The collection consists of 3 b&w group photographs. They are part of a sequence of photographs, numbered in the top left: 71, 73, 77, 54th Canadians. One photograph is labelled on the bottom: 4th Division Football Champions, 1919; a second is labelled 4th Division, Indoor Baseball Champions, 1919; the third is labelled on the top right, Band. Also in the collection is a card issued by the Food Controller of Canada.

The collection consists of two advertisements for land. The first for The Western and London Districts (1843) and the second for the Huron District (1844).

Bill 63, which was designed to guarantee the language rights of the English minority in Quebec, sparked a tide of nationalist agitation. The collection consists of newspapers, press and other statements.

There are two series. The first series consists of letters P.T. Caiger wrote to Annie Wells (later his wife), 1907-1918; 1916-1918 predominant. The second series consists of letters Eric Caiger wrote to his parents, 1939-1947. There are also a few letters to him from his parents and others.

The fonds consists of seven accruals which have been combined. The first two accruals are arranged into 15 series consisting of incoming correspondence, outgoing correspondence, Cambridge Magazine correspondence and related material, Heretics correspondence and related material, Orthological Institute and Basic English Foundation correspondence and financial material, other Basic English material, manuscripts, diaries and notebooks, articles and publications relating to Ogden and Basic English, photographic and family material, publications received, notes and catalogues relating to Ogden's book and stamp collection, pictorial material and gramophone records, Cambridge Magazine issues and Psyche photocopies.

The third accrual (01-1993) consists of two letters from Siegfried Sassoon. The fourth accrual (12-1993) consists of two groups of letters relating to the Heretics Society and the Cambridge Magazine. The fifth accrual (22-1993)consists of Ogden's letters to Valerie Winslow. The sixth (05-1994) accrual consists of financial ledgers concerning the sales of Basic English publications. The seventh accrual (08-1997) consists of a post card from Ivy Litvinoff and a book. These accruals have been interfiled with the first two accruals.

The majority of the collection consists of letters from Parry to William S. Hannam, a member of the Leeds Music Festival Committee.

The fonds consists of 37 letters from Jack Butler Yeats (1871-1957) to McLoughlin. There is also a Christmas card signed by Yeats, and an unsigned, unaddressed post card, possibly from Yeats. The other items in the fonds belonging to McLoughlin are: a poem by Padraic Colum (1881-1972), "The Sea Bird to the Wave", which McLoughlin notes Padraic wrote down for him one night at the Arts Club in 1958 and two manuscripts, one about the Irish troubles in 1916-1921 and the other a collection of Irish proverbs from a social evening at the Club in 1967. The first manuscript is the result of McLoughlin contacting veterans of the troubles and getting them to write down their memoirs in 1966.

There are several items in the fonds that do not appear to have a direct tie to McLoughlin. These items include: a poem, "Sleep Song", by Frederick Robert Higgins (1896-1941), editor, poet, and playwright; a signed Christmas card from James Sullivan Starkey and E. F. Starkey to J. J. Chicester containing a printed poem, "1939" by Seumas O'Sullivan (1879-1958) and signed by O'Sullivan (O'Sullivan was the pseudonym of James Sullivan Starkey); letter from Katharine Tynan (1861-1931), poet and novelist, to Mr. O'Leary; two letters from W. B. Yeats (1865-1939), poet and playwright, one to Sara Allgood and the other to Mr. Farrell. The letter to Mr. Farrell was removed from the library copy of a book and thus did not belong to McLoughlin. The other items in the fonds are all printed: poems on Christmas cards by Donagh MacDonagh (1912-1968), barrister, editor, poet, and playwright; a sermon by The Right Reverend Robert Wyse Jackson, Bishop of Limerick; and an Irish National Theatre Society programme.

The collection consists of fourteen engravings from the Bucks' series on England.

The fonds consists of 53 black and white photographs and photographic postcards, most showing World War I aircraft. Many have messages or annotations on the reverse side. They have been organized into five groupings: those showing Bruce Doherty, those identified as Toronto, those identified as Texas, those showing airmen and aircraft, and others (includes one Christmas card).

The fonds is very comprehensive and includes: 32 notebooks in which Cockburn composed most of his song lyrics from 1969 to 2002; song sheets and scores; correspondence, including fan mail; awards, including gold records; promotional material, including posters; tour books; scrapbooks; photographs; a copy of each of Cockburn’s recordings; video and film items; and other material. The eighth accrual consists mostly of audio recordings as well as some additional textual materials and realia.

The series was acquired with Archives 2, the print finding aid for which states: “The World Vietnam Committee was initiated by the Peace Foundation following the first International War Crimes Tribunal. Many invitations to join the Committee were sent out over Russell's signature, but the Committee seems never to have been brought fully into being.”

Includes a draft for the WVC's constitution and correspondence which includes invitations for individuals to join the anticipated committee and notifications of the postponement of the committee. Letters from Russell are typescript copies; letters received are photocopies.

Series consists largely of correspondence with heads of state and governmental bodies about Russell's global concerns such as political prisoners and treatment of Soviet Jews, the Goldwater US presidential campaign, the Gaza Strip, the Vietnam War, etc. Among the correspondents are: Nikita Krushchev, Chou En-lai (Zhou Enlai), and U Thant. Also includes various printed materials such as press statements, news clippings, etc. Letters from Russell and his staff are typescript copies. The series was acquired as a part of Archives 2.
