Scope and content

The temperance collection consists of manuscripts, correspondence, pamphlets, leaflets, posters, news clippings, government documents from various countries, lantern slides and realia. There have been four accruals; the first two accruals have been combined. Serials and monographs belonging to these accruals have been separately catalogued.

Immediate source of acquisition

The first accrual was purchased from Acadia Book Store in February 1984. The second accrual was purchased from D&E Lake Ltd., Toronto, Ont. in May 1985. A third accrual (77-2009) of one item was acquired from Morris Norman in 2009. The fourth accrual was (11-2010) was acquired from Morris Norman in 2010.
