The archive consists mostly of maps and aerial photographs from Nickle's time in the Second World War. There are additional documents related to his military service.

The overwhelming majority of the collection deals with Canada. The subject matter is varied, and deals with many aspects of Canadian history, literature, social and political conditions. Included are pamphlets on religion and churches, all levels of government, elections, peace movements and war service, Communism, local communities and labour organizations to name but a few of the topics covered. Approximately 250 pamphlets date from before 1867. Several of the pamphlets are in the French language. Some pamphlets in this numbered collection have no relation to Canada; they are mainly British and American although a number of pamphlets concern Cuba and Third World countries. At least one pamphlet about Ireland is in Gaelic; a few pamphlets are in other languages.

The fonds consists of research materials, manuscripts, and correspondence pertaining to Brandis’ writing activities; these files depict the extensive research, planning, and revision that she has undertaken while writing. The first two accessions are arranged under 5 series: Writing, Public Talks and Events, Promotional Materials, Printed material about Brandis, and Artwork. The third accession is arranged into 4 series: Published Work, Unpublished Works, Talks and Teaching, and Reviews and Awards. A number of her books were removed from the rest of the materials and have been catalogued for Research Collections.

The fonds reflects her life as both a writer, performer, and a promoter of the Jamaican language. It is arranged into the following series: correspondence; legal and financial documents; writing; published and printed materials; personal and professional documents, awards and realia; photographs and audio-visual materials; death, funeral and memorials; Eric Coverley. Manuscript contains extracts from John Locke's published works, new plantings for the P[?]arsonge Mogan Garden, a gardening journal, and mathematical calculations.

Collection contains original artwork and copies of posters for the McMaster Campus Cinema screening program; posters or comic art created or collected by Art Cooper; and fanzines and mini comics created in the Southern Ontario region, particularly in the early 1970s.

Fonds consists of cassette tapes containing recordings of interviews conducted by Neil Armstrong of prominent Black and Caribbean artists, authors, poets, publishers, academics, and politicians for the York University student radio, CHRY 105.5FM. Interviews cover topics such as Black and Caribbean history, literature, community events, international work, and more. Interviewees include The Honourable Lincoln Alexander, Dionne Brand, Afua Cooper, The Honourable Rosemary Brown, Austin Clarke, George Elliott Clark, Louise Bennett (Miss Lou), and others. Some tapes have interviews or speeches made by these individuals outside of a CHRY interview.

Tapes were numbered in accordance with the original order upon arrival. Note: The “A” or “B” following the tape number reflects which side of the tape the recording may be found. Tapes without an affixed letter contain only one recording.

Collection consists of scripts and artwork from two of Ho Che Anderson’s comics: I Want to Be Your Dog (an erotic comic originally published in five issues from 1990-1991 and later released as a collected edition in 1996) and Miles from Home (published as a digital edition in 2013).

The fourth accrual consists of manuscripts and correspondence. The fifth accrual consists of manuscripts, correspondence, Heritage Canada materials, and Berton Celebration dinner. The sixth accrual consists of manuscripts and correspondence.The seventh accrual consists of correspondence including some early family correspondence, juvenilia and journals, and manuscripts. The eighth accrual consists of manuscripts and correspondence. The ninth accrual consists of correspondence, manuscripts, newspaper columns, news clippings. The tenth accrual (03-1998) measures 7.1 m, consists of correspondence, manuscripts, and printed materials, 1898-1998; 1994-1996 predominant. The twelfth accrual (16-2002) measures 6m and consists of correspondence, royalty statements, photographs, clippings, manuscripts and research material. The thirteenth accrual (50-2007) has been arranged into nine series: books, articles, and other writings; public appearances; correspondence; pocket diaries and address book; subject files; news clippings; drawings, photographs and sound recordings; oversized materials. The fourteenth accrual (52-2008) consists of 4 letters to and from T.G. Reed. The fifteenth accrual (2012-001) consists of early writings, contracts, personal and awards, research material, chronological files, printed material, correspondence, photographs and sound recordings. The sixteenth accrual (2013-040) consists of writings; correspondence; personal, art work and graphic publications; subject files and photographs, graphic and printed materials.

There have been two accruals. The first accrual measures 6 cm and covers the period 1943-1992; predominant 1975-1992. It consists of various publications produced by de Havilland, Boeing and Bombardier. They include company, periodicals, calendars, postcards, leaflets and programmes, as well as illustrated product information sheets on the Dash-7 and Dash-8. There are pamphlets on the merger with Boeing and with Bombardier. There is one newspaper clipping about Olivia de Havilland’s visit to Toronto in 1988. There is also an oversize drawing of the de Havilland Mosquito IV printed from The Aeroplane, England, 7 May 1943. The second accrual measures 5 cm, 1927-1958. It consists of photographs, pamphlets and newsletters. There are photographs of the Beaver, Caribou, Chipmunk, Fox Moth, Mosquito bombers, and the Moth. The Caribou was sold to the U.S. Army; many of the photographs are of the Army training.

The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, publications, reports, press releases, news clippings. There are also printed materials belonging to other groups, including the Japanese Canadian Citizens Association.

The fonds contains correspondence between Evelyn Mae Kapitain and her brother Charles G. Kapitain during his time served in the AEF. Also included are military associated letters and documents, newspaper clippings, two German postcards found in the Argonne Woods and US military postcards to Evelyn Kapitain from an unknown individual.

The fonds consists of a biographical sketch of Dr. Totton, his Royal Army Medical Corps certificate of commission, his Canadian army Medical Corps certificate of commission issued retroactively, a Christmas entertainment program from the No. 8 General Hospital, Boisguillaume, France, a photocopy of one page from the University of Toronto Roll of Service, trench maps, photographs, including hospitals in France, and post cards.

The fonds consists of one box containing 6 files: File 1 Artifact Catalogue; File 2 biographical information (report by S.M.
