The fonds contains many manuscripts of Connell's own books and two which he ghosted, the memoirs of the Aga Kahn and Sir Roy Welensky. There is much correspondence with the literary, political and military world described, amounting to some 14,000 pieces. Its Commonwealth associations include Rhodesia, in the Welensky files; India, in the Aga Kahn, Wavell and Auchinleck files; Canada; Kenya and Nyasaland; and Malaysia and the defence of the British Empire. His library has, except for some rare editions, been dispersed into the Mills Library stacks. The books that accompanied the third accrual have been listed but not yet catalogued.

The fonds mainly consists of albums of photographs. The photographs include his Coronation trip, military (including Korea), the Alaska Highway, his involvement with the St. John Ambulance, Prince Richard (Duke of Gloucester) and Governor-General Jeanne Sauve. There are also some printed materials, some of which concern the Wright family. There is one letter.

Sir Charles Haukes Todd Crosthwaite fonds
The fonds consists mainly of his correspondence with Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple Blackwood (1826-1902), 1st Marquis of Dufferin and Ava. Blackwood, a diplomat and administrator, served as Governor-General of India from December 1884 until 1888. He was awarded a marquisate for his service in India. Crosthwaite's letters are mainly holograph copies, presumably done by his secretary. There is other correspondence in the fonds.

The fonds consists of letters starting just prior to Gibson’s enlistment to his return to Canada, as well as pocket diaries for the years he served and some military documents.

The fonds consists of Griffith’s in-flight navigator’s reports of bombing raids over German targets, detailing height, speed, temperature, instrument checks, unusual incidents, bomb release time, course flown, special instructions, and observations, and corresponding course maps. Fifty-two of the maps included in this fonds are World War II Bomber Charts, namely Topographical Maps, Lattice Topographical Maps, Radar Plotting Charts, Plotting Series Maps, Aeronautical Maps, and Canadian Air Navigation Charts. There are also three notebooks.
The fonds also contains an air force uniform (Pilot Officer jacket, trousers, felt “long johns,” two Royal Air Force “blue shirts.”); Griffith’s shoulder boards and air force and officer hats; 5 navigation protractors (3 of which are handmade); various patch badges including air force, army and naval items; and sample plexiglass from an aircraft window; a sample of airframe; field wound dressing (unused); and a sewing kit, for buttons, badges, and repairs.
There is also biographical information about Griffith and his crew (including the correspondence to Kennedy from Bath and an article from McLean's Magazine, September 2009 describing Operation Gisela); Leave Guide for London (a YMCA brochure), an issue of Time and Tide: Independent Non-Party dated 14 April 1945; 7 annotated photographs of the Halifax III and its crew, a Crew Roster for the 76th Squadron RAF for the week ending 22 December 1944.
Griffith, Gordon
The archive consists of material related to his writing, including scripts, manuscripts, essays, and other material. Of note is his first published essay from 1918. There are extensive diaries from 1929-1951, including detailed accounts of the Great Depression and the Second World War. There is also correspondence, photographs, clippings, and other published material.
McFarlane, Leslie
There have been two accruals. The first accrual consists of 923 songs from 1714-1830. The second accrual consists of approximately 1,000 songs from 1700-1830. Both accruals of songs are mainly from the Georgian Era, that is during the reigns of the four Georges. The majority of the songs were published in London, England.
Hamilton (Ont.) history collection
The Hamilton history collection consists of essays written about Hamilton by McMaster students for Professor John Weaver of the McMaster University History Department and numbered file folders containing news clippings about Hamilton.
Additionally, it lists some material available in the Marjorie Freeman Campbell and Mabel Burkholder collections, which are related to the material here.

The fonds consists of two albums containing short accounts by soldiers at the hospital of their war-time experiences, as well as poems and addresses.

He kept a small diary which documents the four years he served. The collection also contains sixty photographs, including formal portraits, unit photographs, aerial photographs, and 38 official Government of Canada photographs with captions added, presumably by Joyce.

The fonds is mainly concerned with the 1946 Stelco Strike. There is a small amount of material concerning the 1941-1942 strike at Lake Shore Mines Ltd. in Kirkland Lake, Ont. which was sent to Kelly in 1946. The fonds also contains an interview with Kelly done by William Ready on 9 December 1971.
