The fonds consists of documents, a plaque, memorial cross and photographs mainly related to his death in World War I. It also contains a book, The 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles, 1914-1919.

Palmer's letter was written to Leonard Alfred George Strong (1896-1958), author, journalist, and a director of Methuen Ltd. from 1938 to 1958. In the letter Palmer makes an assessment of his own poetry.

The fonds consists of letters from Sir Beverley Baxter, Herbert Hoover (1874-1964), J. Edgar Hoover (1895-1972), William Lyon Mackenzie King (1874-1950), Robert J. McCracken, and Edward, Duke of Windsor (1894-1972) and Wallis Warfield, Duchess of Windsor (1896-).

The collection consists of four accruals. The first accrual consists of 4 letters and 1 note from James to Edmund Gosse, 1 letter to Messrs. Clay, [?] & Taylor, 1 printed letter to his friends on the occasion of his seventieth birthday, and printed materials including the order of service for his funeral. The second and third accruals consist of adaptations of two of James' novels by other authors. The fourth accrual is a copyright registration document.

The fonds consists of research materials, manuscripts, and accolades pertaining to Giroux’ writing activities on the topics of pedagogy, the corporatization of higher education, the attacks on youth, and other social critiques; these files depict the extensive research undertaken on both subjects and individuals, and contain manuscripts of his books. The fonds also contains awards won by Giroux throughout his career.

There have been two accruals. The first accrual (24-1997) consists of nine series: National Research Council/Atomic Energy Canada Limited; McMaster University; Nuclear reactor and Nuclear Activation Services; experiments and research; correspondence; conferences and lectures; Thode's publications; biographical material and reprints. Fonds includes: 11 figures, 4 certificates, 2 posters, 17 maps, ca. 209 photographs, ca. 60 negatives and ca. 550 slides. There is material contained within this fonds which came from the papers of two individuals who worked very closely with Thode, Dr. Jan Monster and Dr. C.E. Rees. Both men were colleagues who co-authored a number of publications and participated in a number of joint studies with Thode. Dr. Charles Edward Rees died while at McMaster, and it would appear that Dr. Thode assumed control of his papers. Dr. Rees's papers were discovered within the accession. Most of his papers were deemed to have no permanent archival value, but those that were linked closely with Dr. Thode remain in the fonds where appropriate. Dr. Jan Monster was a long-time research associate. Thode supervised and oversaw much of Monster's work. The funding for Dr. Monster's position ended in the mid to late 1980s. Dr. Thode assumed control of many of the projects being worked on by Dr. Monster. This can be seen in the fonds with the inclusion of the Monster Reports within the experiments and research series. The second accrual (40-2007) consists of Thode's many awards, a collection of stamps from the Soviet Union, and a plaque issued by Yorkton, Saskatchewan in 1909 to its mayor.

The fonds consists of 9 letters and telegrams from Hank to his parents in Hamilton while he was in the RCAF, 1944-45; 4 letters from “Mrs. Murray” to Hank’s mother (Mrs. Murray was a Scottish relative of Hank’s Canadian fiancée, Jean Gilchrist, whom Hank visited while on leave), 1944-45; 4 letters from Betty Pearson (WAAF, RCAF, Bedfordshire, England) to Hank’s mother, 1945; and 9 letters and cards from various officials and individuals to Hank’s parents after Hank was reported missing in action. Also includes a photograph of one of Hank’s crewmates (Leslie Payne), and related documents.

The third accrual contains: novels, plays, scripts (manuscripts and typescripts); articles, short stories, book reviews, extracts from novels (manuscripts, typescripts, proofs, tear-sheets, offprints, and news clippings); speeches, untitled and fragmentary writings and news clippings.

The archive consists of 21 diaries spanning 1920-1940 which cover both Nunn’s personal and business affairs. There is some correspondence including letters from Grey Owl and Jack Miner. There is only a little material related to his work outside of the diaries, but there are two Halliday company catalogues.

Bound manuscript of "Traitté du peché originel" (Treatise on Original Sin) by Henri de Maillé, Marquis de Carman (73 p.). Stamped on the spine of the sleeve cover is: "Manuscrit écrit par Damoisselet" — likely a professional scribe. The quality of the text and ornamentation are exceptional, with numerous marginal references to Augustine, Seneca, Cicero and others. An additional annotation in Latin identifies the book as having at one time been part of the cathedral library at Lyon.

Signed by Hendrick van Aernum. Dated 17 Nov. 1794. Witnesses, Daniel Marven and Richard Lansing.

The collection contains material pertinent to the performance of Concerto in C Minor for Piano and Orchestra, For Miss Agnes Butcher.

Series consists predominately of correspondence with heads of state and other political leaders in various countries relating to issues of international politics, including the Cuban missile crisis, the Sino-Indian border dispute, the war in Vietnam, Arab-Israeli relations, etc. Among the correspondents are Chou En-lai (Zhou Enlai) of China, Jawaharlal Nehru of India, Ayub Khan and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto of Pakistan, Nikita Krushchev of the USSR, Secretary General U Thant of the United Nations, Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam, and many others. Letters from Russell and his staff are typescript copies.

By 1963, the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation had been established, and the affairs of the BRPF are also reflected here. Accordingly, there is some overlap with the BRPF series (311 onward). There is also overlap with series 640 World Affairs. The files are arranged alphabetically by name of country, and also include material relating to the United Nations.

The album contains photographs belonging to Flight Officer H.C. Hass, RCAF, at Air Observer School #8, Ancienne Lorette, Quebec in 1942-1943. Typically at an AOS, trainees took a 12-week course on aerial photography, reconnaissance, and air navigation, which included 60 to 70 hours of practical experience in the air. The album illustrates Norwegian trainees, New Zealand and Czech liaison officers, wings ceremonies, mess scenes, the hockey team, buildings, planes, as well as scenes in Quebec City. In addition there are photographs of the Quebec Conference in August 1943, including Winston Churchill, Mackenzie King and others; also two photographs of Princess Juliana of the Netherlands making presentations. The album measures 28 x 40 cm and contains 18 leaves with approximately 126 photographs. Most photographs are 8 x 11 cm but some are as large as 25 x 21 cm.

The fonds consists predominantly of letter from Brian to Sir Granville Bantock. There are also a few letters to Helen Bantock, Raymond Bantock, and H.O. Anderton, as well as a few letters addressed to Brian.

The collection consists of letters written to Havens and his daughter from family, friends, and business people. There is one letter written by his wife Mary (née Hiscott) when she is away visiting her father who is ill. The letters span four generations: Richards Havens (the father), William (the son), Ciscelia (his daughter) and the Elmes (grandchild and spouse). Many of the letters are written from rural communities in Ontario. There are, however, letters written from the Oakfuskee Hills in Alabama and Emigrant Gap, California.

The collection reflects Harvey Feit’s work with Eeyou (Cree) governments and communities in Eeyou Istchee (primarily Northern Québec), particularly around the creation and implementation of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement. The collection consists of the following: academic papers; reports, correspondence, and meeting minutes from Eeyou negotiators and governments; legal records, including factums and transcripts of witness testimonies for various court cases; and news clippings.

The fonds consists of five accruals. The first accrual measures 1.35 m, and consists of photographs, minutes, reports, memoranda, notes, and correspondence relating to Waisglass's various positions. The second accrual (20-1990) measures .45 m, and consists of addresses, articles, and notes by Waisglass in original and printed form, files of correspondence and notes on some of the positions held by Waisglass. The third accrual (30-1996) measures 1.75 m, and consists of arbitration files, a research manual co-edited by Waisglass, and video and audio cassettes of interviews conducted by Waisglass with several labour leaders. The fourth accrual (33-1997) measures 33 cm, and consists primarily of arbitration and grievance files. The fifth accrual (15-2001) consists of correspondence, letters to the editor, lecture notes, articles, thesis, and biographical information.

The fonds consists of taped interviews conducted by Professors Troper and Abella in the conduct of their research for None is Too Many. Eight audio cassettes record Troper’s comments on archival documents located in New York and London. Also included is a microfilm reel from the Hebrew Immigration Aid Society archives.
