The following composed and executed for amusement by Joseph Ely. Manuscript consists of six different poems, all titled "Poetical Thoughts".
The writer of this journal was a woman. In the spring of 1829 she travelled to Cornwall and Kingston. Later on she went to the United States. She arrived in Liverpool on 22 Sept. 1830 and returned to her home, near to Glasgow, Scotland.
There have been two accruals. The Judaica collection is concerned with Jewish people, organizations, Palestine and Israel. Some of the documents in the first accrual are Holocaust items. The collection contains documents written in 18 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Hebrew, Yiddish, Arabic, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Serbian, Dutch, Slovakian, Romanian, Latin. The collection was compiled by Morris Norman. All selling information has been retained in the files.
Fonds consists of Judith Robinson’s correspondence; clippings of her newspaper writings; drafts, notes, and research files; working records of NEWS; personal material; petitions and other material related to the Christie Street Hospital campaign; manuscripts and writing related to her books, published and unpublished; and manuscripts and writing by her friends sent to her for editing.
Robinson, JudithThe fonds consists of 24 letters from Gould to his parents, 1915-1917, fifteen pencil sketches of scenes behind the British lines and a self-portrait, drawings and watercolours of landscapes (including juvenilia), Parisian architecture (1910), and nature studies, b&w photographs, news clippings, maps, letters of condolence, letters about the book Memorial and a letter concerning the Arras memorial in 1932, mostly bound in an album. There are annotations throughout by Frederick J. Gould. There are also a memorial card and letter of condolence with regard to Gould's sister who died at age six in 1893 and a photograph of St. George's Chapel Choir, Windsor, in 1865 (Frederick J. Gould was a member). A photocopy of a Memorial Notice of Julian Gould was acquired in November 2007.
Gould, JulianThere have been three accruals. The first and principal accrual of the collection was compiled by his close friend and admirer, Frank Holliday. During the 1960s the composer agreed to allow Holliday to tape record him playing his own compositions. Their correspondence over a forty year period as well as the audio reels and cassettes are the core of this collection. The reels have been reproduced on audio cassettes for use by researchers. The number of audio cassettes listed above refers only to original cassettes.
Sorabji, Kaikhosru ShapurjiThe fonds is contained in a green leather album trimmed in gold. It consists of correspondence mostly addressed to Katharine Birkmyre, although a few letters are addressed to her father, Canon Skelton and to her husband. It also includes invitations, dinner menus and autographs, two photographs of the Red Cross Hospital in Gibraltar, and her admission badge to the Royal enclosure at the Ascot races in 1937. There is one letter from Archibald Philip Primrose, Earl of Rosebery and another from Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman, both prime ministers, to Henry Birkmyre. Both letters concern Birkmyre's defeats in elections held in 1895 and 1899. There is also one letter from Edmund Gosse, poet and man of letters, addressed to Lady Charnwood. The album has been annotated by Katharine Birkmyre.
Birkmyre, KatharineKatherine Clarke has dubbed her archives “The Peace House Papers”. Digital copies of the originals and documents from 2009-10 have been placed by her into three folders: book one, “Finding Causes”, consisting of biographical information and letters to her parents between September 1963 and June 1964; book two, “Touring Cuba with 45 Canadians in the summer of 1964 … In the 5th year of La Revolución Cubana”, consisting of photographs of her time in Cuba (including photos of Fidel Castro speaking to a large crowd and playing baseball), photographs of “Harry” and other soldiers (a soldier in Castro’s army, pre-1959, i.e. before the revolution photographs), and her account (entitled “Sugar Daddy”); book three, letters to her parents between September 1964 and March 1965. Originals of most of these materials are also extant in the Clarke fonds.
Clarke, KatherineThe collection consists of transcripts of letters written by Mansfield to her father, Harold Beauchamp, 1916 and 1922, as well as transcripts of some letters written by her father about Katherine Mansfield, 1933-1937. There is also one letter from Isabel C. Clarke to Beauchamp, 1935. The transcripts, all typescript carbons, were presumably made some time after 1937, the date of the last letter.
Mansfield, KatherineFonds consists of material created and collected by Keith Patrick during his time as a Wireless Air Gunner in the RCAF during the Second World War, including correspondence, photographs, training material, realia, and cartographic material. Fonds also includes material collected after the war which relates to his wartime experiences and civilian life.
Patrick, KeithThe fonds contains administrative and editorial files, including: correspondence, manuscripts, proofs, contracts, marketing plans, cost sheets, business papers, and other material.
Key Porter BooksThe fonds consists mainly of invitations to social events, including assemblies, receptions, commencements, banquets and balls. There is a news clipping of a review of the play “Old Soldiers” put on by the Brantford Amateurs in the Stratford Opera House in 1885 in which both Kilmasters acted. Pauline Johnson also acted in this play. There are also programmes, the funeral notice (noted above), a trespass notice, dancing instructions, three letters, a few documents related to the Dufferin Rifles, Jolite Club meeting notices, several news clippings, and miscellaneous printed materials. Most of the activities took place in Brantford and surrounding towns. However, some invitations are from places in Michigan.

Echlin, KimThe fonds contains correspondence, manuscripts, sound recordings and other materials in English, Japanese and German. There are also some materials relating to his father, Klaus Pringsheim, as well as research materials for a biography of Eisaku Sato. Pringsheim’s uncle was Thomas Mann and some documents relating to the Mann family also form part of this fonds.
Pringsheim, Klaus H.After gold was discovered in Bonanza City in 1896, approximately 30, 000 settlers flooded the Yukon in hopes of finding fortune. The name “Klondike” (or “Klondyke”) refers to a town as well as the area surrounding Dawson City where new residents panned for gold.
There have been three accruals. The first accrual consists of a typescript of letters as well as stereo cards, a postcard and tear-sheets. The second accrual consists of b&w photographs as well as one serviette. The third accrual consists of two photographs.
