The album contains approximately 95 photographs (silver and albumen prints). There are photographs of the exterior of the sanatorium, the grounds, the lake, and the steamship “Medora”. People are shown canoeing, sailing, swimming, and playing tennis. A few of the women are dressed as nurses. There are several photographs of children and family groups. A few photographs clearly were not taken in Muskoka: i.e., a wagon and oxen in front of a chocolate store, three houses on a city street, and others. There are two “Gregory post cards” at the end of the album. One is of “Moonlight on Milford Bay, Muskoka” and the other of the Cedar Wild boathouse. It is pmk Toronto, Canada 10 Sept. [189-]. Unfortunately none of the photographs are captioned; the creator of the album is not known.

The first was compiled and annotated by Theodore Henry James Charmbury, who was a photographer in Saskatchewan. It consists of clippings and 41 photographs. A detailed description of the scrapbook and the material found therein is included in the box.
The second scrapbook is a collection of contemporary newspaper clippings about the Rebellion, pasted over the account book of James McDowell, an agent of The Ontario Mutual Life Assurance Co., London. The material was pasted into the ledger sometime after 1883.

Practically all of the partnership certificates in this collection pertain to publishing, printing, book selling, and allied trades. The certificates were all registered at the Registry Office in Toronto.

The fonds contains 11 letters written by and to Paul Nash. Ten of the letters in the collection are written to R. H. Wilenski (1887-), an art critic. The other letter is to Desmond Flower (1907-) of Cassell's. Flower writes about Nash's work on Urne Buriall in his autobiography, Fellows in Foolscap (1991).

The playscript, "Remarkable Woman," 123p., was later produced as Vivat! Vivat Regina. This version contains a scene and several passages of dialogue which were subsequently cut from the play. The letter by Bolt is dated 11 November 1969.

The collection consists of an Ontario Provincial Police report of a meeting held by Tim Buck in 1939, 4 audio discs duplicated onto 2 audio cassettes containing speeches by Buck, a printed foreword by Buck to litho prints by Avrom Yanovksy as well as the prints, and fourteen b&w photographs concerning the Labor-Progressive Party, Today Magazine, and the International Economic Conference in Moscow in 1952. The Conference proceedings are also included in the collection as well as an offprint of an article by Buck.

Collection consists of over 1,000 air dropped and shelled leaflets and periodicals created and disseminated during the Second World War. The majority of items in this collection were printed by the Allies then air or container dropped, or fired by artillery shell over German occupied territory. Many leaflets and periodicals have original publication codes and were printed in over 10 languages. Only shelled leaflets, Germans to Allies (115 items), are in English.

The fonds contains a letter to The Most Reverend, The Lord Archbishop of Nova Scotia written by Gordon Cosmo Lang, Archbishop of Canterbury on August 1931. The letter concerns the relations between the Old Catholic and Anglican Churches. The letter is signed "Cosmo Cantuar" which was Lang's customary signature. The collection consists of 110 photographs taken by Arndoli, a number letters received by him, including one from Sir Edmund Ironside, and other items related to the First World War. From the Second World War, there are five photographs.

The collection contains 'Horseman, pass by! the story of a poet', told by Frank O'Connor and Brendan Kennelly in a series of moving images. These images are saved in various formats.

Several of the photographs document young men who served in World War II. They include an unidentified soldier in front of a 2nd/10th Dragoons vehicle. This regiment was based in St. Catharines as well as Hamilton and Brantford and did not serve overseas. There are five photographs taken by a soldier who built bailey bridges over the Aller and Weser rivers, who was a member of the 147 football team, and who was photographed in a former P.O.W. camp with a Nazi swastika near Onasbrück, Germany. The versos of all these photographs have descriptions of the events depicted. There are three photographs of Matt Wilkinson whose trade in the army was that of a blacksmith. There is also a postcard photograph of the Ravens Hotel in Schleswig, Germany where he was billeted. Also in the album are a group of news clippings about Flying Officer Alexander Jamieson Muir (1920-1944) who served in the 626 Squadron. There are no identified photographs of him in the album, although there are ones of Jack and Don Muir, presumably his cousins. There are two pages photographs of the Victoria Rifles Company in May 1944. A Montreal regiment, it embarked for Great Britain on 20 November 1944. Its Niagara connection is unclear. Also in the album are family, wedding, vacation photographs of Wasaga Beach as well as photographs of various locales in the Niagara region.

The collection consists mostly of the research materials compiled by Monika Jensen-Stevenson and William Stevenson for their book, Kiss the Boys Goodbye, published by McClelland & Stewart in 1990. Included are: research notes, transcripts and notes from interviews, photographs, and many photocopied documents. The collection consists of sixteen printed cards, each illustrating a virtue: Reverence, Good Resolution, Perseverance, Helpfulness, Courage, Unselfishness, Cheerfulness, Truthfulness, Love of Father, Good-will, Obedience, Ambition, Influence, Honesty, Purity, Mutual Aid. Each desired quality is illustrated with a poem and a photograph. Each card has either a red, green or brown border with the same printed design on each side of the poems. The cards were published by the Life Portrayal Series, Toronto, Ont. Someone has numbered the series by hand: 1-8, 11-16, 18, 21-22, which would indicate that some of the cards are missing from the set. Some of the cards are stained.

The collection consists of uniforms worn by women (Patricia Gray, D.H. Currie, and possibly others) in the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service and the Royal Canadian Air Force Women’s Division, respectively established in May 1942 and July 1941. The items in the collection are as follows: no. 1 Lieutenant’s medical uniform (black blazer, 4 gilt buttons, and matching tie and skirt); round cap (H.M.C.S. Cornwallis on tally) with signatures of other Navy staff on the top and dated July 7 ’63, belonging to D.H. Currie; 2 black great coats, one coat with a blackish green lining and 2 gilt buttons, and the other with a black lining and 4 gilt buttons; no. 3 working blue jacket, white collar, 12 gilt buttons, and blue skirt; 3 cream-coloured blouses; white pinafore; 2 cuffs, each with a gilt button; white kerchief; black Oxford shoes; Navy blue skirt; black tie; 2 black skirts; and Navy blue top with matching pants. The collection also has a b&w photograph of a nurse in uniform (presumably Patricia Gray).
