Friends of McMasterThe fonds consists primarily of Fred’s correspondence to Margaret and his parents. Additionally, there are a number of photographs taken while he served, and documents from his life. As well, there are a number of highly detailed maps first from his training and then from the war. The fonds consists of four series: correspondence; photographs, military service and miscellaneous; and maps.

Sutherland, FraserThe fonds consists of two notebooks kept by F.C. Zurbrigg – one on meteorology and the other on bombing. There is also a b&w photograph of Zurbrigg with his plane, a Hudson aircraft, and an invitation from McMaster University to the unveiling of a memorial tablet in Alumni Hall bearing the names of all members of the University who were killed in World War II.

Wood, Alfred E.There have been two accruals. The first accrual (13-2009) consists of a variety of materials documenting Walker’s professional career and interests including medical correspondence, published off prints and early sketches of a dissected rabbit (1913). There are also page proofs and preparatory material on Daylight through the Mountains (1957), political memorabilia and speeches. There is also general correspondence, of which a highlight is a carbon copy of letter to Prime Minister Louis St. Laurent dated August 27, 1951 proposing the building of a National Library with a signed reply from St. Laurent dated August 31, 1951. The second accrual (77-2009) consists of research materials gathered and compiled by Walker on Frederic Newton Gisborne (1824-1892), an engineer and inventor, for his proposed book, "Cables of Confederation". There is also a copy of a letter to former premier, Joseph R. Smallwood, 1966; printing blocks; and spoons.

Case, Everett JamesThe fonds contains correspondence between Evelyn Mae Kapitain and her brother Charles G. Kapitain during his time served in the AEF. Also included are military associated letters and documents, newspaper clippings, two German postcards found in the Argonne Woods and US military postcards to Evelyn Kapitain from an unknown individual.

This accrual is supplemented with a collection of books and periodicals. The third accrual (35-2006) consists of three series: Manuscripts; Personal Materials; Journals and Notebooks. The fourth accrual (28-1010), measures 38 cm and consists of journals, poetry, short stories, and a novel. The fifth accrual (2013-003) consists of the following series: Notebooks, Poetry, Fiction; Seminars, Teaching, Readings and Awards; Correspondence and Personal, Business and Other. The fifth accrual was accompanied by periodicals and monographs containing McNamara’s work. These have been separated from the archival collection and a list accompanies this finding aid.
McNamara, EugeneThe fonds consists of mimeographed letters that Scammell sent out to Ontario newspapers in 1927, calling attention to neglected gravesites in Ontario. The remainder of the fonds consists of incoming letters to Scammell. There are letters from members of the general public as well as The Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire; the Col. Gooderham Chapter, I.O.D.E.; the Ontario Attorney General; the Canadian Red Cross Society; the Ontario Historical Society; the Ontario Department of Health; T.E. Kaiser, M.P.; the Soldiers’ Aid Commission and the Federal Press Association Ltd. There are also brief minutes of meetings on the neglected graveyards issue and an agenda, as well as a copy of “The Cemetery Act”, 1928.

The fonds consists of the manuscript of the dictionary as well as notebooks and research materials for an unpublished dictionary on medical terminology; articles and speeches; correspondence; legal and other documents; news clippings.
Klein, ErnestThere have been four accruals. The first accrual consists of research materials White gathered for his writings on English opera. It includes letters from Ethel Smyth and correspondence of other composers, photographs and engravings. The second accrual consists mainly of an incomplete run of White's correspondence relating to his work as an arts administrator. Some correspondence concerns The Poetry Book Society Bulletin. The third accrual consists of a manuscript and a typescript bound together. The fourth accrual consists to two letters to Keith Scott written in 1953 and 1954 re The Battle of Hexham.

The first accrual (22-1999) consists of eight files of poems, six of which are organized into chronological periods: file 1, 1943-1971; file 2, 1971-1973; file 3, 1973-1984; file 4, 1984-1989; file 5, 1989-1995; file 6, 1996. The remaining files are: file 7 "Vignettes of a Nursing Life", 1989; file 8 poems to Olmec head in Mexico, n.d. All files except files 6-8 have an index to poems contained in the back of the file.
