-3 sketches, felt-tip marker on paper: head of René Lévesque; head of John Diefenbaker; heads of Robert Stanfield plus hand with banana and Joe Clark with mittens hanging from his ears. All three sketches are signed and have Donato’s “bird” included. For years, Joe Clark was drawn with children’s mittens (joined by idiot strings), a reference to the time his luggage went missing on a trip to Israel.
-19 pen and brush, sepia wash cartoons on board, for the Toronto Sun: Subjects include Canadians Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Robert Stanfield, René Lévesque, Maurice Duplessis, John Sewell, Joe Clark, Governor-General Jeanne Sauvé, Jim Coutts and Keith Davey, and Gerald Bouey. Ronald Regan is a subject of one cartoon as is Prince Charles. Two have been dated in ink: 13 Feb. 1978 and 24 Feb. 1978. An additional cartoon was added in 2010, titled "Oops!".
-1 felt-tip marker and brush cartoon on paper, for the Toronto Sun, of Brian Mulroney, on the verso is a pencil sketch of Mulroney (prelim to the cartoon).
