This notebook, the property of Hilde Löw, contains stamps of the Bund der Deutschen in Böhmen. Many pages also have postcards (pasted in) and patriotic sentiments written by her acquaintances (Emma Glatz, Camilla Wolf, Berta Hoffman, Lisette Rahn, and others).

The fonds consists of photographs, post-card letters, and printed documents, relating to his military career. Batteries included in this fonds are: 79th Field Battery, 27th and 51st Anti-Tank Battery, 90th Battery, also the 6th Field BDE, and Troops A and C.

The notebook titled "Royal Air Force Note Book for Workshop and Laboratory Records", dated 10 April 1940. It contains his notes on tools, carpentry, airplane construction, and hydraulics, as well as many diagrams and sketches, usually coloured.

The album contains b& w photographs which depict armoured forces, including tanks, in the field. The creator of the album is not known. The pages are captioned in German and dated. The album begins with the crossing of the Mass River on 15 June 1940. War scenes in Belgium, France and Holland are depicted as well as soldiers relaxing. There are photographs of English, French and German graves. There is one photograph of prisoners. There are also some photographs back in the homeland. A listing of the German captions into English has been prepared by archival staff.

The collection contains newsreels produced by the firm Degeto Weltspiegel. The subjects covered include:

The album was compiled by someone stationed at Trenton, presumably a nurse, because the b&w photographs are predominantly of nurses on and off duty. There are two group photographs both taken on 9 July 1942 of hospital staff – one contains men in military uniform only, the other of men in military uniform and women in nursing uniforms. Only two album pages contain captions: one is of nursing orderlies, the other of “one hot night in June 1942 on the back porch”. All of the photographs were taken at Trenton except for a photograph of two nurses at Emerald Lake Chalet in the Canadian Rockies. There is one photograph of all personnel on the parade ground – possibly for a BCATP graduation ceremony.

The album contains photographs belonging to Flight Officer H.C. Hass, RCAF, at Air Observer School #8, Ancienne Lorette, Quebec in 1942-1943. Typically at an AOS, trainees took a 12-week course on aerial photography, reconnaissance, and air navigation, which included 60 to 70 hours of practical experience in the air. The album illustrates Norwegian trainees, New Zealand and Czech liaison officers, wings ceremonies, mess scenes, the hockey team, buildings, planes, as well as scenes in Quebec City. In addition there are photographs of the Quebec Conference in August 1943, including Winston Churchill, Mackenzie King and others; also two photographs of Princess Juliana of the Netherlands making presentations. The album measures 28 x 40 cm and contains 18 leaves with approximately 126 photographs. Most photographs are 8 x 11 cm but some are as large as 25 x 21 cm.

This collection consists of various pieces of ephemera and other items related to the Second World War.

There are two letters written by Arthur Medland. The first is written to his Uncle, William P. White, the second is written to Douglas S. White, who seems to be William's son based on the content of the letters. Medland's letter to Douglas mentions the Tunisian Campaign. Medland has given the day and month, but not the date. His letter to Douglas is mostly likely written in 1943, given the time of the Tunisian Campaign and the active service of the HMCS Owen Sound, but it could be later. It is presumed that the letter to William is the same year, but again could be later.

The third letter was written by Jim [Shanock?] (1495306), an Aircraftman with the RAF, based at Sharjah in what is now Dubai. He was serving as part of the Persian and Iraq Force when he wrote to a Canadian, [Ian or Tom] Lancaster (JX391082), on board the HMCS Moose Jaw in July 1943. A couple of words have been excised from the letter by the censor.

The collection consists of forty-five letters from John Wigmore to his parents, plus two additional letters from his brother Bill, written between 1942-44.

The fonds consists of personal documents relating to his daughter Evelyn’s education and marriage, personal and official correspondence, and photographs – ranging from Stanley and Evelyn’s childhoods to Stanley Mann’s funeral.

This log book covers Douglas Cameron's period of active service over the European continent (Berlin, Cherbourg, Guernsey, Nuremberg, Genoa, Turin and elsewhere) -- a total of 325 flying hours in daylight and 271 hours at night. Two sorties recorded in the log resulted in the awarding of Victoria Crosses, to Rawdon H. Middleton and Sergeant Bazalgette.

The fonds, which relates to Dove’s activities during World War II as Lieutenant Colonel of the Royal Engineers, consists of mine detection reports, technical drawings, photographs, inventory of machinery, and correspondence concerning war risks insurance.

The archive consists of correspondence, diaries, and clippings, mostly related to McNairn's wartime experience, but including some travels prior to the war.

Fonds consists of 36 letters to his parents, which were frequently censored. They are full of requests for warm clothing.

The fonds consists of his Soldier’s Service and Pay Book issued13 June 1940; his certificate of transfer to the Army Reserve, 20 December 1945, a photograph of him with another soldier in 1944 and an oversize photograph, presumably of Phillips’s company but it has no identification apart from the fact that it was taken in Pirbright, Surrey by Gwyer Gibbs. Sandhurst Royal Military Academy is located in Pirbright.

Collection consists of original documents collected by David Diamant over a period of approximately 30 years dealing primarily with the Jewish segment of the French underground resistance; many of the documents originate with communist groups, and some deal with Polish groups. Most of the documents are in French, while some are in Yiddish.

This is a small collection of posed group photographs of military and civilian units, the majority of which are mounted on board and list the individuals in each photograph.
