The writer of this journal was a woman. In the spring of 1829 she travelled to Cornwall and Kingston. Later on she went to the United States. She arrived in Liverpool on 22 Sept. 1830 and returned to her home, near to Glasgow, Scotland.

This journal covers the period June 1828 to 29 August 1828. It concerns the author's journey, by sailing yacht, from England to other countries, including Sweden, Denmark and Germany. The manuscript is bound, illustrated by drawings, 68 pages in length, with some leaves left blank.

Fenton kept a journal of the voyage. In additon, letters to friends that he wrote after his arrival in Quebec, and then from York in 1822 and 1826 are contained in the journal as well as an untitled poem and the musical score for "The Indian Hymn". Two leaves of the journal are badly torn. Many leaves are left blank. The inscription on the inside front cover is: "Transaction book of the Druids-in-deed".

This item consists of three manuscripts bound into one volume. Stamped on spine: Recueil de diver pieces.

This artificial collection of documents consists of 81 manuscripts, including deeds, charters, instruments of sasine, obligations, letters patent, wills, probate certificates, and manorial court proceedings, placed into 76 separate groupings. Most of the documents are English, concerning Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Devon, Essex, Hampshire (including Isle of Wight), Kent, London, Middlesex, Norfolk, Rutland, Somerset, Suffolk, Surrey, Wiltshire, and Yorkshire. Some are Scottish, from Aberdeenshire, Ayrshire, Clackmannanshire, Edinburgh, Peeblesshire, Perthshire, and West Lothian. One was drawn up in Louth, Ireland while under British rule. Among the notable names occurring in these documents are North of Kirtling, Addington of Harlow, Cotton of Leswade, Primrose of Chester, Paston of Paston, and Shelley of Horsham. Also included, in envelope A, are several pieces of seals which have broken.

The collection contains manuscripts and letters written by Cowper and Newton.

The microfilmed documents are arranged and were filmed by province (later country): Chiapas, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Within each geographical location, arrangement is by type of document: A1, Superior Gobierno (Central Government); A2, Capitania Generale (Judicial, Economic, and Military); A3 Real Hacienda (Exchequer, Court Documents, Accounts, and Taxation).

Additions to Poems on Several Occasions Canterbury: printed by J. Abree, 1740. The early nineteenth century owner of the book (which has been catalogued as a rare book (C2584), apparently had access to the papers of Mrs. Dixon's niece, Mrs. Eliza Bunce. It seems Mrs. Bunce saw this volume through the press and kept the original manuscripts; from these the owner copied a number of unpublished poems, and added some which were printed in the newspaper at later dates, and lines which were found in a copy of the book in the British Museum. Two leaves are bound in the book and do not form part of the page count above.

The following composed and executed for amusement by Joseph Ely. Manuscript consists of six different poems, all titled "Poetical Thoughts".

Elizabeth Mary Copley was given a blank bound manuscript in 1814. In this book she copied out selected pieces from different authors in various languages. She titled the work "Miscellanies" There are 65 pages in the manuscript.

Manuscript textbook on rhetoric and grammar, with text in Latin and examples in Latin and French. French examples include excerpts from the works of Nicolas Boileau-Despréaux, Jean Racine, and Antoinette de Lafon de Boisguérin des Houlières. Likely produced by a Francophone individual in the province of Lower Canada between the end of the eighteenth century and the War of 1812.

Manuscript document issued by the Governor of the state of Maranhão in Brasil, José Thomas de Menezes. The document concerns the Portuguese in England. It is written on one leaf of paper, folded in half; the text covers 3 pages.

Bargain and sale by John Jones of Niagara [Niagara-on-the-Lake] in Lincoln in the province of Upper Canada, tailor, and Jane, his wife, to Phinihas Howell of Niagara, carpenter, of a tract of land, with all buildings on it, on the north-eastern part of Lot 30 in the town of Niagara for £294. Jones had the land by letters patent, dated 16 Nov. 1804 (registered 7 Dec. 1804 in Book R, fol. 351). Boundaries of the property include Prideaux Street and the house of Elizabeth Thompson. Among the conditions of sale, for ten shillings, Jane Jones agreed to quitclaim her right to her dower. Dated at Niagara, 29 Jan. 1806. Signed and sealed by John Jones, Jane Jones, and Phinihas Howell. Witnesses, A[lexander] Cameron and J. Macdonell.

The fonds consists of Brand's correspondence with Rev. Falcon, who was serving as Cure of Cramlington in Brand's absence, as well correspondence with Nathanel Punshon, an attorney in Newcastle, and other documents concerning Cramlington. Fonds is bound in covers with "Rev. J. Brand Private Papers Mss." stamped on spine.
