Additions to Poems on Several Occasions Canterbury: printed by J. Abree, 1740. The early nineteenth century owner of the book (which has been catalogued as a rare book (C2584), apparently had access to the papers of Mrs. Dixon's niece, Mrs. Eliza Bunce. It seems Mrs. Bunce saw this volume through the press and kept the original manuscripts; from these the owner copied a number of unpublished poems, and added some which were printed in the newspaper at later dates, and lines which were found in a copy of the book in the British Museum. Two leaves are bound in the book and do not form part of the page count above.

The collection consists of: an original photograph, the Simcoe family estate in Wolford, England, with a woman, possibly Mrs. Simcoe, on the front lawn; a handwritten copy of a letter from her daughter, Sophia Simcoe, originally written in June 1835, mentioning her mother and Mrs. Scadding; a typewritten extract from an article by Henry Crawford Scadding commenting on an event in Mrs. Simcoe's diary. The dates of creation of the latter two items are not known.

The collection consists of one autograph letter signed by Dr. Johnson, a copper token bearing Johnson's portrait, a typescript of a talk delivered to the Johnson Club in 1921, and offprints of articles relating to Johnson and James Boswell.

The collection consists of transcripts of letters written by Mansfield to her father, Harold Beauchamp, 1916 and 1922, as well as transcripts of some letters written by her father about Katherine Mansfield, 1933-1937. There is also one letter from Isabel C. Clarke to Beauchamp, 1935. The transcripts, all typescript carbons, were presumably made some time after 1937, the date of the last letter.

The fonds reflects her life as both a writer, performer, and a promoter of the Jamaican language. It is arranged into the following series: correspondence; legal and financial documents; writing; published and printed materials; personal and professional documents, awards and realia; photographs and audio-visual materials; death, funeral and memorials; Eric Coverley. The fonds consists of three handwritten manuscripts. Pierrot sauvé was published under the title La Rédemption de Pierrot in 1903. Le Songe d'une nuit d'hiver was also published in 1903. Pierrot à Stamboul was published by James B. Sanders in the Revue d'histoire du théâtre 1980 (# 3) : 232-247. The manuscripts are 25, 21 and 13 pages respectively. They are undated, but were probably written sometime in the 1880s. The pantomimes are written in French.
