The fonds consists of engravings, Debenham’s publications in medical journals, articles about him, and a CBC documentary. The fonds is accompanied by Debenham’s collection of books on engraving, lettering, printing, and typography.

There have been several accruals. The collection consists of correspondence, mainly to Sir Newman Flower, manuscripts and typescripts. The manuscripts include Mr. Britling Sees It Through, which was published in 1916. There is also correspondence to Seigfried Sassoon. There is a one page memoir of Wells by one of his secretaries, Winnifred Classey. The collection also consists of an extensive holding of periodicals containing articles by and about Wells.

The notebook titled "Royal Air Force Note Book for Workshop and Laboratory Records", dated 10 April 1940. It contains his notes on tools, carpentry, airplane construction, and hydraulics, as well as many diagrams and sketches, usually coloured.

The fonds consist of materials relating to the Baldwin book: typescript, proof copy, correspondence, notebooks, research materials, reviews, and photographs.

The album contains photographs belonging to Flight Officer H.C. Hass, RCAF, at Air Observer School #8, Ancienne Lorette, Quebec in 1942-1943. Typically at an AOS, trainees took a 12-week course on aerial photography, reconnaissance, and air navigation, which included 60 to 70 hours of practical experience in the air. The album illustrates Norwegian trainees, New Zealand and Czech liaison officers, wings ceremonies, mess scenes, the hockey team, buildings, planes, as well as scenes in Quebec City. In addition there are photographs of the Quebec Conference in August 1943, including Winston Churchill, Mackenzie King and others; also two photographs of Princess Juliana of the Netherlands making presentations. The album measures 28 x 40 cm and contains 18 leaves with approximately 126 photographs. Most photographs are 8 x 11 cm but some are as large as 25 x 21 cm.

Fonds consists of typescripts, proofs, manuscripts, research notes, speeches, essays, publications, and correspondence relating to H.R. Percy's literary career. Also included are materials relating to Percy's early life and service in the Royal Navy and Royal Canadian Navy.

This hand-lettered and illuminated book was presented to the Duke of Connaught to commemorate his visit to Hamilton.

The fonds consists of a diary and typescript of the diary transcribed by Dr. Norman Shrive. Passages within the diary include "Sunshine and Storm by a Rifleman,1870" and a brief passage entitled "Journey through Persia and other Eastern countries," written by Corporals R. Murphy and J. Kenderick. Murphy and Kenderick are identified as serving with the 100th Royal Rifles. The diary also contains personal information about Snelling, including family health and business prosperity. There is a page of business transactions from 1873.

The fonds consists of the log of H.M.S. Amethyst, covering the period 9 November 1859 to 22 December 1860. It contains 93 pages of text, drawings, and maps which are listed below. The log begins with the ship at anchor at Mazatlan, Mexico. On 21 June the ship leaves Mexico for Panama, and proceeds on to Valparaiso, Chile, and then Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The ship then returns home to England, arriving at Plymouth, and then going on to Margarte, and finally Chatham. The final entry in the log is: "put ship out of commission".

There have been two accruals. The first accrual consists of two night order books, 1914-1915, 166 pages and 1915, 161 pages. The second accrual consists of a bound notebook (40 pages) containing a memoir written by George H.J. Hanks who was a Sick Bay Attendant on the Carnarvon. It was written in 1915 in Montreal while the ship was undergoing repairs and contains an extract from the ship's log for the Battle of Falkland Islands (p. 40). The fonds is supplemented by a transcript of the diary prepared by Robert K. Hanks, available in hard copy and on a CD. It includes additional documentation, including profiles of opposing fleets and maps

The Hamilton history collection consists of essays written about Hamilton by McMaster students for Professor John Weaver of the McMaster University History Department and numbered file folders containing news clippings about Hamilton.

The collection consists of programmes from the first concert, held 19 January 1952, until the 1976-1977 season.

The collection consists of news clippings, letters to the editor of The Hamilton Spectator from the Real Estate Board, and a report done of the McKittrick Properties, a large 700 acre parcel of undeveloped land within the Hamilton, Ont. city limits, submitted on 1 February 1919.

The collection consists primarily of b&w photographs syndicated in North American newspapers during World War II. The collection was assembled by Cecil Williams, the librarian at the Hamilton Spectator.

The letters are from Rt. Hon. Arthur Meighen (1874-1960), Prime Minister of Canada, 1920-1921 and 1926; Vincent Massey (1887-1967), Governor-General of Canada, 1952-1959; John Hylan, Mayor of New York city; and William Maxwell Aitken, Baron Beaverbrook (1879-1964). There is also an autograph by Arthur Meighen.

Hamilton Steel Wheel Company Limited was incorporated in 1916 by letter patent under the first part of the Companies Act with its head office in Hamilton, Ontario. Both certificates are stamped "cancelled".

The fonds consists mainly of the records of the Hamilton and District Labour Council from its formation in 1956 until 1994. There are also some records from the two bodies which preceded it as well as from the Canadian Congress of Labour Area Council. There have been two accruals.
