The first accrual consists of 237 letters written by Professor Mendelson to his family, three journals, and travel documents. The accrual documents two periods in Professor Mendelson’s life (1961-63 and 1971-72) when he lived as a student in Israel with his wife Sara. This material is available in Box 1.
The second accrual consists of the unpublished memoir A Life in Briefs. Dr. Mendelson has also provided supplementary material to many of the chapters including correspondence, publications, photos, objects, and ephemera.
The third and fourth accruals consist of artwork by Robin Wall.

The fonds consists of 37 letters from Jack Butler Yeats (1871-1957) to McLoughlin. There is also a Christmas card signed by Yeats, and an unsigned, unaddressed post card, possibly from Yeats. The other items in the fonds belonging to McLoughlin are: a poem by Padraic Colum (1881-1972), "The Sea Bird to the Wave", which McLoughlin notes Padraic wrote down for him one night at the Arts Club in 1958 and two manuscripts, one about the Irish troubles in 1916-1921 and the other a collection of Irish proverbs from a social evening at the Club in 1967. The first manuscript is the result of McLoughlin contacting veterans of the troubles and getting them to write down their memoirs in 1966.

There are several items in the fonds that do not appear to have a direct tie to McLoughlin. These items include: a poem, "Sleep Song", by Frederick Robert Higgins (1896-1941), editor, poet, and playwright; a signed Christmas card from James Sullivan Starkey and E. F. Starkey to J. J. Chicester containing a printed poem, "1939" by Seumas O'Sullivan (1879-1958) and signed by O'Sullivan (O'Sullivan was the pseudonym of James Sullivan Starkey); letter from Katharine Tynan (1861-1931), poet and novelist, to Mr. O'Leary; two letters from W. B. Yeats (1865-1939), poet and playwright, one to Sara Allgood and the other to Mr. Farrell. The letter to Mr. Farrell was removed from the library copy of a book and thus did not belong to McLoughlin. The other items in the fonds are all printed: poems on Christmas cards by Donagh MacDonagh (1912-1968), barrister, editor, poet, and playwright; a sermon by The Right Reverend Robert Wyse Jackson, Bishop of Limerick; and an Irish National Theatre Society programme.

The thirteenth accrual (50-2007) has been arranged into nine series: books, articles, and other writings; public appearances; correspondence; pocket diaries and address book; subject files; news clippings; drawings, photographs and sound recordings; oversized materials. The fourteenth accrual (52-2008) consists of 4 letters to and from T.G. Reed. The fifteenth accrual (2012-001) consists of early writings, contracts, personal and awards, research material, chronological files, printed material, correspondence, photographs and sound recordings. The sixteenth accrual (2013-040) consists of writings; correspondence; personal, art work and graphic publications; subject files and photographs, graphic and printed materials.

The fonds consists of five accruals. The first accrual measures 1.35 m, and consists of photographs, minutes, reports, memoranda, notes, and correspondence relating to Waisglass's various positions. The second accrual (20-1990) measures .45 m, and consists of addresses, articles, and notes by Waisglass in original and printed form, files of correspondence and notes on some of the positions held by Waisglass. The third accrual (30-1996) measures 1.75 m, and consists of arbitration files, a research manual co-edited by Waisglass, and video and audio cassettes of interviews conducted by Waisglass with several labour leaders. The fifth accrual (22-1993)consists of Ogden's letters to Valerie Winslow. The sixth (05-1994) accrual consists of financial ledgers concerning the sales of Basic English publications. The seventh accrual (08-1997) consists of a post card from Ivy Litvinoff and a book. These accruals have been interfiled with the first two accruals.

The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes of meetings, reports of seminars and conferences, financial records, briefs to governments, and OUS publications.

The major part of the fonds consists of sales invoices. They indicate who was buying what items of Canadiana and what prices were being paid. Almost invariably correspondence initiating or relating to the sale was attached to the invoices and they have been left there. Many of the buyers are Canadian university or public libraries and academics, particularly those in the field of Canadian history. As well as the invoice series, there is a full set of catalogues, financial statements, credit notes, correspondence relating to book auctions and general correspondence.
