There have been two accruals. The first accrual (24-1997) consists of nine series: National Research Council/Atomic Energy Canada Limited; McMaster University; Nuclear reactor and Nuclear Activation Services; experiments and research; correspondence; conferences and lectures; Thode's publications; biographical material and reprints. Fonds includes: 11 figures, 4 certificates, 2 posters, 17 maps, ca. 209 photographs, ca. 60 negatives and ca. 550 slides. There is material contained within this fonds which came from the papers of two individuals who worked very closely with Thode, Dr. Jan Monster and Dr. C.E. Rees. Both men were colleagues who co-authored a number of publications and participated in a number of joint studies with Thode. Dr. Charles Edward Rees died while at McMaster, and it would appear that Dr. Thode assumed control of his papers. Dr. Rees's papers were discovered within the accession. Most of his papers were deemed to have no permanent archival value, but those that were linked closely with Dr. Thode remain in the fonds where appropriate. Dr. Jan Monster was a long-time research associate. Thode supervised and oversaw much of Monster's work. The funding for Dr. Monster's position ended in the mid to late 1980s. Dr. Thode assumed control of many of the projects being worked on by Dr. Monster. This can be seen in the fonds with the inclusion of the Monster Reports within the experiments and research series. The second accrual (40-2007) consists of Thode's many awards, a collection of stamps from the Soviet Union, and a plaque issued by Yorkton, Saskatchewan in 1909 to its mayor.

The collection consists of four accruals. The first accrual consists of 4 letters and 1 note from James to Edmund Gosse, 1 letter to Messrs. Clay, [?] & Taylor, 1 printed letter to his friends on the occasion of his seventieth birthday, and printed materials including the order of service for his funeral. The second and third accruals consist of adaptations of two of James' novels by other authors. The fourth accrual is a copyright registration document.

The fonds consists of letters from Sir Beverley Baxter, Herbert Hoover (1874-1964), J. Edgar Hoover (1895-1972), William Lyon Mackenzie King (1874-1950), Robert J. McCracken, and Edward, Duke of Windsor (1894-1972) and Wallis Warfield, Duchess of Windsor (1896-).

Palmer's letter was written to Leonard Alfred George Strong (1896-1958), author, journalist, and a director of Methuen Ltd. from 1938 to 1958. In the letter Palmer makes an assessment of his own poetry.

The fonds consists of documents, a plaque, memorial cross and photographs mainly related to his death in World War I. It also contains a book, The 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles, 1914-1919.

The fonds is arranged into three series: correspondence, compositions, ephemera and memorabilia. The fonds includes some of the financial records and minutes of the Brighton Philharmonic Society.

The collection consists of maps from the First World War.

The fonds consists of a constitution and minutes. The constitution, dated 10 August 1953, is written on ten pages of a titled bound book. Most of the book is blank but the last three pages contain minutes of meetings from September to December 1853.

This notebook, the property of Hilde Löw, contains stamps of the Bund der Deutschen in Böhmen. Many pages also have postcards (pasted in) and patriotic sentiments written by her acquaintances (Emma Glatz, Camilla Wolf, Berta Hoffman, Lisette Rahn, and others).

Collection consists of scripts and artwork from two of Ho Che Anderson’s comics: I Want to Be Your Dog (an erotic comic originally published in five issues from 1990-1991 and later released as a collected edition in 1996) and Miles from Home (published as a digital edition in 2013).

The collection consists of 23 letters to Nancy Pearn of Curtis, Brown, a literary agency, and Sheppard's funeral order of service. For other Sheppard letters, see the Vera Brittain and George Edward Catlin fonds.

The fonds consists of a small amount of correspondence, McMaster University examinations, at least one typescript by Michell, as well as printed articles and news clippings. There is also a copy of a photograph "Louis Riel and His Associates [at] Fort Garry"; the copy was made in April 1914. It is annotated by Michell. The fonds is supplemented by publications which have not been catalogued or listed. They are located separately from the fonds.

The original film is b&w, 14 minutes long, with no sound. It depicts Budapest, Hungary before during and after World War II. It focuses on the charitable activities of the Roman Catholic church, in particular that of Cardinal Mindszenty. The film has been converted to a VHS video cassette.

The Hurst family fonds consists of textual records (contained in Box 1) and photographs and graphic materials (contained in Box 2). Newspaper articles regarding the Hudson Bay Railway occupy a significant portion of the collection. Written by George Alexander Hurst in the late 1930s and early 1940s, these articles were largely published in the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix and Saskatchewan Commonwealth. Some articles are contained in “University Loose leaf Notebook.” Reports, proposals, and memorandums authored by Hurst and the On-to-the-Bay association are also included, as well as Submissions to the Royal Commission on Co-operatives by The Davison Co-operative Association of Davidson, Saskatchewan, and Hurst’s correspondence with D.J. Munro regarding the railway route. Additional textual material includes George Alexander Hurst’s unpublished manuscript, “Rambles Round the Ram Pasture” and Jean Hurst’s manuscript, “A Librarian’s Recollections Mostly of McMaster, 1944-1987.” Graphic materials include photographs (some contained within two photo albums) of George Alexander Hurst and friends and family, and extensive images of Churchill, Manitoba and its harbour. Notably, there is a photograph of Charles and Anne Lindbergh taken during their 1931 survey flight to Asia, when the couple made stop in Churchill. The fonds contains the following cartographic material: a 1929 map of Manitoba, a map of Southern Manitoba, five maps of Churchill, including the town, river, and harbour, a map depicting freight rates on grain products on Canadian National Railway stations in Manitoba, a 1929 map of the Yukon, and map of Lake Athabasca.

Bazett Hutcheson); Royal Canadian Navy black double breasted “Undress Coat” with eight gilt buttons, with rank insignia of Lieutenant Commander; 45audio disc (vinyl), 78 rpm, being “a message to some nice people” by Eric [Harry Hutcheson]”, 9-6-42 [9 June 1942]; framed b&w photograph of Sub-Lieutenant R. The text of the hymn begins "Did Jesus weep for human woes". The date "c1780's" has been written in pencil by an unknown hand. Research Collections has two broadsides containing hymns. One is titled "The First Hymn Sung by the Charity Children" and is dated 7 July 1713. The other one is "The Second Hymn Sung by the Charity Children" and is dated 20 Sept. 1914. The text of the broadsides does not match this manuscript.

The fonds consists of his published report, correspondence he conducted with companies in Britain, the United States, Europe and Austrailia in gathering information for the writing of his report, typed notes and offprints.

There is also correspondence pertaining to library acquisitions made possible through the assistance of Dr. Spenser, some printed materials relating to McMaster University and newspaper clippings. The second accrual consists of his doctorial thesis (1952) and offprints of his published works, numbered 1-136. The third accrual consists of photos and ephemera from Spenser's trips to Japan.

The second accrual consists of press and promotional materials, as well as a few items of correspondence, photographs and other materials The third accrual consists of SRO Management records related to Ian Thomas and 45 audio recordings (commercial releases and masters).
