Titles of series (with the exception of 22 and 23) are derived from chapter headings used by Thomson for a proposed autobiography for which the materials were gathered. Series 22 has been created by the archivist to contain all the correspondence to and from David Smith. Series 23 has been created to house audio-visual material in one place. The collection consists of two accruals. The first accrual comprises the fonds of Colonel Steer-Webster as well as the partial fonds of Michael Harrison, author of Mulberry: The Return to Triumph (1965). Michael Harrison has written over fifty books of fiction, biography, travel and history. It consists of typescripts, correspondence, charts, sketches, photographs, maps, models. The second accrual contains correspondence addressed to H. V. Phillips in the Ministry of Supply as well as photographs, plans and printed materials.

The collection consists of the letter to Mrs. Bromley and well as two photgraphs of presumably Canadian troops. One is a postcard photograph. The other is identified as "C sub-section, A.S.C. Section, G.H.Q., 3rd Echelon" and was taken in Rouen, France in September 1916. On the verso of the photograph are signatures of the soldiers -- some of them have very small pasted photographs beside their signatures.

The collection consists of printed materials, including leaflets and mimeographs.

Fonds consists primarily of materials documenting Scarlett’s music career, which spanned five decades. This includes contracts, travel plans for tours, performance programmes, promotional materials, photographs, recordings, sheet music, and other materials. There is also a small amount of personal materials, including correspondence, chiefly with singer-songwriter and painter Mendelson Joe, letters to the Canadian government, drafts of op-eds, and other materials.

Series deals with Russell’s response to the case of Morton Sobell, an American engineer who was convicted of passing atomic secrets to the Soviet Union in the same 1951 trial that also convicted Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. Sobell was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Russell vehemently protested his conviction and sentence. Series consists of correspondence, press releases, bulletins, pamphlets, news clippings, and legal documents including Briefs and Petitions in the Supreme Court. Much of the correspondence is with Helen Sobell, the wife of Morton. See also series 340, Civil rights, for a file relating to the Sobell case (box 9.65). Acquired as part of Archives 1.

The fonds consists of Wolfe's M.A. thesis, "A Study of Cultural and Political Nationalism and Racism as Reflected in the Pages of Saturday Night" and material from his book, A Saturday Night Scrapbook.

Most of the materials collected by Morris Norman have been placed in subject collections or have been catalogued. The remaining material has been placed in this general collection. It includes materials relating to politics, government, legal matters and business. There are also photographs. The materials originate from Canada, the United States and Britain and rarely from other countries. There have been three accruals. The third accrual contains “The Globe Special Train (Passing Dundas)”, Toronto Lithographing Co.

The fonds consists of letters written by Drury to his mother, grandmother, grandfather and aunt Fran. The letters discuss Drury's day to day activities, the people he has met and the places he has visited. In the last letter Drury describes his experience with the Fleet Illuminations and includes a newspaper clipping (17 July 1935) covering the event.

The letters are hand written in ink and pencil on varying qualities of paper. A preservation copy was made of a letter written in pencil on poor quality paper. Repair work was done to the newspaper clipping and a preservation copy included in the file.

The archive consists of original scores, photographs, memorabilia, programs, correspondence, personal items and clippings.

The collection consists of an album of b&w photographs taken inside and outside the Oratory The album, bound in leather, was inscribed and presented to Adhémar Raynault, the mayor of Montreal by the committee. The photographs were taken by F.E. Marsan.

The collection consists mostly of the research materials compiled by Monika Jensen-Stevenson and William Stevenson for their book, Kiss the Boys Goodbye, published by McClelland & Stewart in 1990. Included are: research notes, transcripts and notes from interviews, photographs, and many photocopied documents.
