        <p>Stanley Mann was born in Toronto, the son of Thomas Dickinson Mann and Helen Mann. He married Evelyn Austin on 9 August 1941. Enlisting in June 1942, he became a navigator in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Killed on 16 July 1944 during a training flight, he was buried in the Chester (Blacon) cemetery in England.</p>
