There have been two accruals. The first (00-1994) measures 40 cm, and is arranged into the following series: minutes; labour negotiations; grievances; financial; correspondence, bylaws, senority and officer lists; employer relations. The second (13-1999) has not yet been arranged or described.

The fonds consists of printed and signed ephemera issued in various series. A few leaflets and pamphlets were issued in the preliminary or "Zero Series", most of them in extremely limited runs (as few as five in some cases). The main series also began in 1979, and as of mid-1983 the press had issued over 200 items. The majority of these are small in format and the runs vary from 25 to 200. Most are printed with rubber stamps, but typesetting and photocopying are also used occasionally. There have been many accruals to the fonds, beginning in 1983 and ending in 2000.

Rachel Manley fonds

Harold Troper fonds

The fonds consists of taped interviews conducted by Professors Troper and Abella in the conduct of their research for None is Too Many. Eight audio cassettes record Troper’s comments on archival documents located in New York and London. Also included is a microfilm reel from the Hebrew Immigration Aid Society archives.

Charlotte Gray fonds

The fonds consists of records related to Charlotte Gray’s writing career, particularly the period from the late 1990s on when she began producing non-fiction monographs on Canadian subjects and persons. A smaller subset of records attests to Gray’s activities as a cultural commentator and lecturer from the 2010s on.

Series groupings have been supplied by the processing archivist following functional analysis. Principal documentary forms include research files, manuscripts, production and promotion records for Gray’s books, and correspondence.

Madzy Brender à Brandis fonds

The fonds consists of audio cassettes, which are correspondence tapes and narrative, research, and memoir tapes that Madzy created later in her life. The correspondence tapes were sent to friends and close family members. The fonds also included two of Madzy’s published books, Land for Our Sons (1958) and Madzy’s Dutch translation Land Voor Onze Zonen (1960), which have been catalogued separately for Research Collections.

The first accrual consists of records associated with the Public Service Alliance of Canada (the strike of the Clerical and Regulatory Group in September-October 1980; the national strike of federal employees in September 1991) and the Canadian Union of Labour Employees (negotiations and agreements between 1982 to 1986). It also contains material on union activity in the Caribbean countries, the Commonwealth Trade Union Council, and the Mayor’s Committee on Community, Race, and Ethnic Relations in North York.

The second accrual consists of the following five series: Public Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Triannual Convention, Toronto, 1982; PSAC National Conference of Education Programs and other, 1990-1999; PSAC National Conference of Regional Reps and Regional Conference of Ontario, 1991-1994; Canadian Union of Labour Employees (CULE) and Commonwealth Trade Union council and Caribbean projects 1985-2009.

The third accrual consists of manuals for the instructors of internal union courses and education programs. The third accrual is arranged by organization, with PSAC coming first, and the others following alphabetically. The material arrived in binders and has been placed in folders for preservation reasons.

The fonds consists of one folder of correspondence. The correspondence concerns the formation of the Toronto chapter of the Independent Socialists, highlights some of the activities of the Vancouver chapter, including an expulsion, and discusses the distribution of literature, particularly information about the plight of workers in Portugal. Relationships between British, Irish, Australian, American and Canadian chapters and their beliefs are outlined. Correspondents include Jeff Rose, Kit Lyons and Merry Philbin. Don Lake's early contact name in correspondence was David Gordon.

The fonds consists of two series. One series contains correspondence, submissions, photographs (both used and not used) and issue files for Canada: An Historical Magazine. The other series contains microfilms of historical research materials that Gagan used for his book, Hopeful Travellers: Families, Land and Social Change in Mid-Victorian Peel County, Canada West (c 1981). There is a file for each of the following awards: Bancroft Award, Chauveau Medal, Banting Medal, Marshall Tory Medal, Eadie Medal, Hannah Medal, Flavelle Medal, Harrison Prize, Innis-Gérin Medal, Lorne Pierce Medal, Miller Medal, Sims Scholarship, NATO Fellowships, Rutherford Memorial Award and the Tyrell Medal. E. Whalley of the National Research Council chaired the Committee in 1972. He was succeeded by A. D'Irio of the Faculty of Science of the University of Ottawa.
