The fonds consists of certification documents, memoranda of agreement, submissions to a Board of Conciliation by both union and company, an arbitration file, and contract negotiations and correspondence. There is one issue of a newsletter, Acid Drips, from 1945.

The first accrual consists of correspondence, briefs and agreements, contract negotiation notes, grievance records and correspondence, minutes of the executive board and other committees, job classification files, photographs, financial records and publications, 1937-1972. The second accrual consists of correspondence, grievances, minutes, press releases, newsletters and other printed materials. It has been arranged into the following series: correspondence, Executive Board and committiees, greivances and printed materials.

There have been three accruals. The first accrual, which consisted of photographic slides and camera equipment, was deacessioned in July 2008. The second accrual (28-1996, 32-1996) measures 1 m, and is arranged into the following series: personal correspondence; legal correspondence and documents; Canadian Red Cross society; Samuel B. Freeman scrapbooks; memorabilia; certificates and awards; photographs and albums. It includes legal correspondence relating to the family property on 341 James St. South. The third accrual (29-1998) measures 3 cm and consists of correspondence, news clippings and a photograph.

The Hamilton history collection consists of essays written about Hamilton by McMaster students for Professor John Weaver of the McMaster University History Department and numbered file folders containing news clippings about Hamilton.

Additionally, it lists some material available in the Marjorie Freeman Campbell and Mabel Burkholder collections, which are related to the material here.
