There is also a small amount of personal materials, including correspondence, chiefly with singer-songwriter and painter Mendelson Joe, letters to the Canadian government, drafts of op-eds, and other materials.

The other series contains microfilms of historical research materials that Gagan used for his book, Hopeful Travellers: Families, Land and Social Change in Mid-Victorian Peel County, Canada West (c 1981).
