The collection consists of sixteen printed cards, each illustrating a virtue: Reverence, Good Resolution, Perseverance, Helpfulness, Courage, Unselfishness, Cheerfulness, Truthfulness, Love of Father, Good-will, Obedience, Ambition, Influence, Honesty, Purity, Mutual Aid. Each desired quality is illustrated with a poem and a photograph. Each card has either a red, green or brown border with the same printed design on each side of the poems. The cards were published by the Life Portrayal Series, Toronto, Ont. Someone has numbered the series by hand: 1-8, 11-16, 18, 21-22, which would indicate that some of the cards are missing from the set. Some of the cards are stained.

The collection consists of an autograph album which belonged to Dorothy Dowie and contains two poems by Roberts, "The Cricket" and "The Spirit of Beauty" as well as four untitled lines. A letter to Dowie was laid in the album. Also in the collection is a poem by Roberts, "Colour Toasts". Dowie's album also contains four autograph lines signed by Wilson MacDonald. The collection consists of leaflets and other publications produced by the administrative and propaganda arm of the Conservative and Unionist Party of Great Britain.

There have been three accruals. The first accrual consists of microfilmed scripts of dramas produced by the CBC. The original scripts were disposed of after microfilming. The majority of these scripts are of radio plays, although there are some which were produced for televison. Dramatists include Fletcher Markle, W.O. Mitchell, Lester Sinclair, Joseph Schull, Pierre Berton, Len Peterson and George Salverson, among many others. The second accrual consists of printed materials; the texts of speeches broadcast 1940-1941, and pamphlets printed by the CBC describing their programming from 1936-1943. The third accrual consists of 4 audio reels, containing a speech by the Rt. Hon. Arthur Meighen (1874-1960), Prime Minister of Canada, 1920-1921 and 1926, to the Canadian Club in 1936 with an introduction of W.A. Bishop.

This notebook, the property of Hilde Löw, contains stamps of the Bund der Deutschen in Böhmen. Many pages also have postcards (pasted in) and patriotic sentiments written by her acquaintances (Emma Glatz, Camilla Wolf, Berta Hoffman, Lisette Rahn, and others).

The fonds contains a letter to The Most Reverend, The Lord Archbishop of Nova Scotia written by Gordon Cosmo Lang, Archbishop of Canterbury on August 1931. The letter concerns the relations between the Old Catholic and Anglican Churches. The letter is signed "Cosmo Cantuar" which was Lang's customary signature. The collection consists of letters to Reginald Popham Nicholson (1874-1950) and his wife, Mary Elinor Nicholson. Nicholson was a career foreign service officer. After his retirement he became the secretary of the Royal African Society and editor of its journal from 1932-1938 and then served in the Red Cross Foreign Relations Department, 1941-1943.

The collection consists of the printed announcement of the 1932 convention of the Ontario Woman's Christian Temperance Union, as well as clip sheets for meeting discussions, 1932-1934. On the verso of the convention call is a letter from May Hall, "Y" secretary, to the president, Edith Kerr.

The collection consists of 24 black and white photographs of Dr. Dafoe (1883-1941). Each is identified on the reverse side, usually with the accompanying text for a brief story. The photographs were taken for International News Photos Inc., 1934-1941.

The collection consists of typescripts, correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, reports, sheet music, printed materials (Canada, Britain, Australia and the United States) and uncatalogued pamphlets (some in German) pertaining mainly to Britain's participation in World War II. The collection is supplemented by books which have been catalogued for Archives and Research Collections, including a full set of the British Official History of the War, unit and regimental histories, biographies and autobiographies, and volumes on the various battles and operations of the British forces. There is also a poster collection which contains one photograph (#C24).

The collection consists of master, local and supplemental agreements between the two organizations. Included is the first collective bargaining agreement recognizing an association of employees (United Automobile Workers, Local 222) at General Motors in April 1937 as well as agreements between various locals and McKinnon Industries and Frigidaire Products. There is also a copy of R.B. Reddoch, "A History of U.A.W. Activities at G.M. of Canada". The photographs are mainly of General Motors executives playing golf.

The collection consists of labour union name tags, mostly from conventions in Canada and the United States. Several of the name tags belonged to Claude Jodoin (1913-1975), the first president of the Canadian Labour Congress from 1956 to 1966 and to William Dodge, Executive Vice-President of the CLC. Unions include the Seafarers International, the International Ladies Garment Workers, International Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, the Employees International Union, the Journeymen Barbers International Union and the International Wood Workers of America. There is one tag from the Second World Congress of the Confederazione Internazionale Sindacati Liberi (International Confederation of Free Unions) held in Milan. Most of the tags are labour ones. However, there are three tags (staff, delegate, and guest) to the founding convention of the New Democratic Party. Most of the tags are ribbons attached to pins. There are also three metal plaques: two of the Trades and Labor Congress of Canada (French and English) and one for Montreal, 1947-50, with the city’s motto “Concordia salus” and crest. The tags were originally stapled, pinned or glued to a polystyrene foam board. The board was photographed by archival staff before the tags were removed.
